Cordyceps sinensis Huaishan cooked pigeon

Aunt brought two pigeons to Grandpa, who had already packed them. Grandpa didnt know how to eat them. It happened that my family had Cordyceps sinensis and Huaishan (the yam used for medicine, which had been dried) as raw materials for the soup, so I took the pigeon back to my home, cooked the soup at home and sent it to Grandpa. In fact, I think its a very happy and easy thing to cook soup. Just put the ingredients into the pot at the right time. The soup is boiling in the casserole. There are two more dishes to prepare in the rest of the time.

Food Material List

  • 1 Dove 2 only
  • 2 Chinese yam 50g
  • 3 Cordyceps flower 10g
  • 4 Adzuki Beans 20g
  • 5 Job tears 10g

Operational steps

  • 1 Pigeons are already well processed. They have been peeled and viscera removed. So lets not say much. Lets look at the nutritious ingredients used in the soup. On the left dish is Huaishan in white, Cordyceps militaris in orange, and on the right are Adzuki beans and Coix seed rice.

  • 2 Huaishan, Chidou and Coiren rice are washed with clean water and soaked in cold water for ten minutes. If the Cordyceps flowers are purchased cleanly, they do not need to be cleaned. They are soaked in cold water directly. If they are purchased in bulk, they may be dirty, so they should be washed slightly. Too much washing can easily wash away the beneficial substances.

  • 3 After the pigeons fly into the water, they are put into the casserole again. They are filled with boiling water. Ginger slices are stewed over a gentle fire with soaked Huaishan, red beans and coix seed rice for an hour and a half.

  • 4 After an hour and a half, pour the soaked Cordyceps flowers together with the soaked water and continue to simmer for about half an hour.
