- 1 Cast leaves
- 2 Glutinous rice
- 3 Pork belly
- 1 Soak the leaves of Zongye in water. When its soft, it wont break the leaves of Zongye when its packed.
- 2 Put soy sauce in the clean glutinous rice and put it for one night.
- 3 Take a rice dumpling leaf and fold one end in like this.
- 4 First put a little glutinous rice.
- 5 Put a piece of seasoned pork. The function of fat meat is to make zongzi more fragrant and sticky.
- 6 Cover it with glutinous rice
- 7 Fold up the rest of the leaves of Zongye
- 8 Tie up with a rope. It used to be a special Zong rope, but now its replaced by thread.
- 9 Then add water to the pressure cooker until the rice dumplings are almost over. Firstly, burn the rice dumplings in high heat for 20 minutes and in low heat for 30 minutes.
Glutinous rice must be soaked well in advance, otherwise it is not easy to ripen, and the taste is not good.
