Millet yam porridge

Yam is sweet in taste and warm in nature. It can invigorate the spleen, nourish the stomach and help digestion. Millet taste sweet, salty, cool, into the spleen, stomach, kidney meridian, invigorate the spleen and stomach, treatment of indigestion, limb fatigue and so on.

Food Material List

  • 1 Fresh yam 45g
  • 2 millet 50g

Operational steps

  • 1 Drop a few drops of vinegar in the water, wash the yam, and soak your hands in diluted vinegar (your hands soak in diluted vinegar, and you wont itch when you cut the yam). Wash and peel yam and cut into small pieces. The millet is washed with water.

  • 2 Add 1000ml of water to the pot and boil. Put in millet and cook for 5 minutes (millet is harder to cook than yam, so it should be boiled a little earlier).

  • 3 Add yam and cook together. Cook over high heat for 5 minutes and over low heat for 15 minutes. Add a proper amount of sugar and mix well.
